The Model 88 was the first of the home market dominators to feature the Featherbed frame that established a new benchmark for motorcycle handling, lasting almost a quarter of a century. The 88’s frame was a revelation and mainly responsible for the 88’s 33lb weight saving over the Model 7 Dominator, the new frame being built by Reynolds Tubes.

This is amatching-numbers ‘wide line featherbed’ in standard road going trim. During the previous keeper’s ownership of 12 years, it has had a new magneto and many electrical minor components have been renewed. (All bills on file)

The motorcycle was restored by the previous owner in 2001 (bills on file)

It has been totally reliable and a joy to ride in his ownership although last year he did manage to fall off it and dent the tank. The frame was checked and everything was straight.
