In 1974 a new and, as it turned out, final version of the Midget arrived. It was known as the Mk IV. This car was equipped with the 1493cc, four-cylinder, pushrod, OHV engine, capable of producing 66bhp, improved the Midgets performance significantly, making a top speed in excess of 100mph easily attainable.

Pretty as apicture with its red paintwork, chrome wire wheels, this 1975 MG Midget has a lot going for it.

The bodyshell was restored just over 3 years ago, and the major works included a new interior along with new vinyl roof and new carpets. The engine also received a complete rebuild.

The recorded mileage is 59,700 miles which is believed to be correct.

The Mk IVMidget is one of the nicest small sports cars to drive and its 66bhp,well-matched gear ratios and light weight give it a lively performance. The wind-up windows and easy-up hood give it a little of the sophistication the earlier cars are lacking. This one is in genuine condition and with summer here this has to be an appealing car for anyone wanting a practical classic that is attractive, fun, and easy to live with.
