The Appeal

A very desirable and very collectable example of Jaguar’smost famous classic car.

 

The Series 3 were built on a longer chassis and featured the5.3 litre V12 Jaguar engine along with improved suspension, power steering,larger disc brakes and a more muscular appearance courtesy of its flaredarches.

 

The V12 delivers greatly increased torque and plenty ofacceleration when required which makes it a very useable and capable GrandTourer.

First registered in 1971 in USA

Re-imported to the UK in 1989 and subject to a full bodyrestoration

by specialist restoration company

Converted to RHD

Purchased by the current owner in 1991, since which time ithas been used very sparingly with regular MOTs and maintenance

Full interior retrim by Aldridge Trimming in 2017

Excellent Regency Red paintwork

Original steel wheels and hub-caps are all present and ingood condition with an advisory on one of the tyres

Few small marks to be found in the otherwise excellentpaintwork

Badges and external trim all present with pretty good chromeshowing some very light surface pitting and light corrosion

Underneath appears good, clean and solid

Beige leather interior in excellent condition

Excellent perforated leather seats with no rips or tears

No cracks to dashboard

Interior trim in good condition throughout

Wool headlining in good condition with no sagging

All gauges and dials work
