Unique one-off kit car based on a 1968 VW Karmann Ghia; formerly fitted with an electric engine, since removed; will also accept any air-cooled VW engine; interesting base from which to create your own special

First registered in March 1968 and based on a VW Karmann Ghia donor vehicle.

Unique GRP bodywork adapted from a Charger kit car but with bespoke front end which cost £5,000 to make, according to notes on file.

High quality paint job which reputedly cost £2,000 and looks great apart from a couple of scuffs on the rear left wing (as pictured).

The owner describes the car as follows:

“The platform has been refurbished including new driver’s side floor and new fully adjustable ride height front beam. It has also had a full brake replacement, with new discs, pads, callipers to the front and new drums and shoes and cylinders to the rear. Also replaced the copper and flexy pipes and the master cylinder. This lot cost £3,000.
